Web design in Powys
I'm Charlotte, and Rooted Web is my web design and brand photography studio in Llandrindod Wells, right in the middle of Powys. I build fast, easy-to-update websites for independent businesses across the county, and take the photos to go with them.

Built for how Powys actually works
Customers come from miles around
In a county this size, your customers aren't just round the corner. They're searching from farms, villages and holiday lets, often on their phones, and they need to find you, check your hours and get in touch without any fuss. That's what a good local website does.
Patchy signal is normal
Ofcom's figures show that across Montgomeryshire and Glyndŵr, only 70% of the land gets 4G from all four mobile networks. So I build lightweight sites that load quickly on a weak signal, without heavy videos or bloated page builders slowing them down.
Welsh and English
One in six people in Powys speak Welsh. If you serve customers in Welsh, I can build bilingual pages and make sure your Google Business Profile says so, so Welsh speakers can find and choose you.

Web design in Powys: common questions
Where in Powys do you work?
I'm based in Llandrindod Wells and work with businesses right across Powys, including Builth Wells, Rhayader, Brecon, Newtown, Welshpool, Knighton, Presteigne and Llanidloes. I'm happy to meet in person, and most of the work can be done online too.
How much does a website cost for a Powys business?
Most small business websites from a UK freelancer cost somewhere between £500 and £4,000, and you'll also have small running costs for your domain, hosting and email. I'll give you a clear, itemised quote after a chat. My guide to what a website really costs explains where the money goes.
Can you build a bilingual Welsh and English website?
Yes. A bilingual site needs translation and two versions of each page, so it's best planned from the start. I can build the site so both languages are easy to update and easy for visitors to switch between.
Will my website work on a poor mobile signal?
That's how I build every site. Pages are kept light, images are compressed and sized properly, and nothing important relies on heavy scripts, so the site stays usable on a slow connection.
Do you help with Google Maps and local search?
Yes. I can set up or tidy your Google Business Profile, structure your website so it's clear where you work, and show you how to keep reviews coming in. Google says local results depend on relevance, distance and prominence, and you can't pay for a better ranking, so it's all about getting the basics right.
