Branding and print design

A consistent identity that looks like you, from your logo and colours to business cards, leaflets, brochures and signs. I design brands for independent businesses so people recognise you wherever they find you, online or in the real world.

Recognisable at a glance

When your website, signs, cards and social media all look and sound the same, people remember you. Consistency is what turns a logo into a brand.

Designed for real use

Your logo needs to work tiny on a phone, large on a sign and in one colour on a stamp. I design versions for every place it will appear, including favicons and social profile images.

Readable by everyone

I check colour pairings for contrast against the WCAG accessibility guidelines, so your text and logo are clear for everyone, including people with low vision.

What's included

Everything you get

Every project is quoted individually, so you only pay for what you need. A typical branding and print project includes:

  • Logo design, with versions for the web, social media, print and favicons
  • A colour palette and type choices that work together and pass contrast checks
  • Business cards, leaflets, brochures, menus and signage
  • Social media profile images and simple templates
  • A short brand guide so you and anyone you work with stay consistent
  • Print-ready files, and help working with your printer

How it works

Four simple steps

  1. 1

    Listen

What your business stands for, who it serves and what you like.

  2. 2

    Explore

Initial directions for your logo, colours and type.

  3. 3

    Refine

One direction developed, tested at real sizes and in print.

  4. 4

    Deliver

Final files for every use, plus your brand guide.

Questions

Branding and print: common questions

Do you design logos?

Yes. I design logos with versions for every place they'll be used, from a large sign to a tiny favicon, and supply them in the right file formats.

Can you design brochures and leaflets?

Yes. I design brochures, leaflets, menus, business cards and signage, and supply print-ready files. I can also help you work with your printer.

What is a brand guide?

A short document showing how to use your logo, colours and fonts, so anyone producing materials for you keeps everything consistent.

Can you refresh an existing brand rather than start again?

Yes. Often a business has good foundations that have drifted over time. A refresh can tidy up the logo, settle on a palette and make everything consistent again.

Do you do the website as well?

Yes, and it's a good idea to plan both together. See web design.
